Learning from a Master- Impro with Keith Johnstone
What an incredible gift it was to spend ten days with Keith Johnstone- the Godfather of Modern Contemporary Improvised Theatre.
He had so much wisdom and insight to share from his time at RADA to his work at the Loose Moose Theatre. For a man who advised Samuel Beckett he was the most humble, generous and patient teacher I have encountered. I was one of 22 international students who hung on every word and got to play with the Master. A highlight was getting to perform on the Loose Moose stage at their weekly Micetro show. I stayed on and worked alongside Dennis and Shaun at the Loose Moose Summer School. I got so inspired to teach, to learn to play and to grow under the wings of so many experienced and generous veteran theatre makers.
